Zac Posen Designing for Target!

This is just briliant news ladies and gentleman. My favorite (or at least top ten for me) desginer is doing a line for Target. Yes, this means something we may actually be able to afford or...not really. Not to be confused with Target's desginer collaborations such as those with Anna Sui or Alexander Mcqueen, Posen is doing the Go International line which is usually priced between $15 and $150. However Zac Posen's line is rumored to start around a whooping $900 and range to $12,000. Say it aint so. Look on the bright side, we always have Z Spoke. (See 11/23/09)

New Lingerie Line for H&M by Sonia Rykiel

Sonia Rykiel's is designing a70-piece lingerie collection for H&M with a launch party at the Grand Palais in Paris The collection will be sold in 1,500 H&M stores and at at Rykiel boutiques. There will also be headbands and hair accessories. These pin-up styles looks have prices start at $12 for a thong, $30 for bras and around $114 for the "homewear" items as told by Racked NY.

Koi Suwannagate launches New Sweaters for Anthropologie

Koi, best known for her cashmere knits will be desinging a line of embriodered sweaters for the clothing retail store Anthropologie. The sweaters hit stores December 1st.

Auction for Audrey!

Audrey Hepburn's long time friend Star-Busmann is auctioning off some items personally given to her by the late grea Mizz Hepburn. Some of these piece includes costumes worn in 1957’s “Love in the Afternoon”, 1964’s “Paris When It Sizzles”, and 1966’s “How to Steal a Million”, are now being sold. 50 percent of the proceeds will benefit the great philanthropist’s Audrey Hepburn Children’s Fund as well. An Update on Daul Kim's Death

As i mentioned a few days ago, the fashion world is shocked at the death of model Daul Kim who was found dead in her Parisian apartment. It is now understood the Daul's death was a suicide and she suffered from depression. Thursday, she had a conversation via im with a friend about her depression and her abusive relationship with her boyfriend just hours before her death. According to The Daily Beast and COCOperez.com:

She was depressed, she wrote, according to a transcript of the chat seen by The Daily Beast. She and her boyfriend had just had another brutal physical fight. She’d punched him in the face; he’d yanked her hair. But she was afraid to leave him, afraid to suffer the agony of being apart. The last time they separated, she hadn’t been able to eat, dropping from 112 to 99 lbs. Her friend begged her to leave town, book a job, call her mother. No, she said. She’d miss her dog. She ended the conversation abruptly, saying she was going off to clean the house.

Her body was shortly discovered by her boyfriend. She underwent an autopsy today and the results are expected by the end of the week. So sad.

Victoria Beckham is Relaunching her Denimn Line!

Yay. Posh will be relaunching her denim line. The line was first launched some time ago at stores like Saks and Kitson but was dropped proabably do to the fact that jeans started around $300. However the new line will be slightly cheaper and will include cigarette pants,leggings, boyfriend jeans, cut-offs and jackets. The washes are classic, the jeans are sexier, and come in sorbent colors. Not too bad Posh.

Chanel Opens its Shanghai Boutique

The newest Chanel boutique opens in Shanghai today. Famous Architect Peter Marino desginer the store in the image of COco's Parisian apartment. Karl Lagerfield even designed a few products available exclusively at the Shanghai store including a quilted flap handbag with an inside signature "Shanghai Karl Lagerfield," sling-back heels with a metallic CC logo, a tweed jacket, and a gold-trimmed skirt.

Zara Opens New Store in Japan

Zara just celebrated the opening of its 50th new store in the Shibuya district of Tokyo. The store is set to open today with shoes starting at about 12,900 yen ($145)and two exclusive products including a clutch and ballet flats coated in bronze glitter.

Jimmy Choo for H&M

I didn't have the time to actually hit the store yet but Jimmy Choo pushed it's line of shoes and accessories into H&M stores early this month. From the look of the photos and the impressive price points starting around only $60, its safe to say that there's probably a select few of shoes to choose from now. Forever 21 To launch a new line for Beauty

The time has finally come for our favorite go to place for high fashion clothing copies at an extremly low price to launch they're very own beauty line. We're not talking about Zara, and we're not talking about H&M who launched theres months ago. Its forever 21. The make-up won't exactly be mac but its a quick way to try make-up trends for a cheap price. The line hits stores this month and when you sepnd over 75$ you get a free lip glosss(that's all?)

Zac Posen's to launch New Line at a lower Price in 2010

Three cheers for Zazquisha P AKA Zac Posen. Our favorite designer whose name begins with a Z is launching a new line of afforable clothing exclusively for Saks in 2010. With prices starting at only $78 we may have hit the jack pot. “We’ve had so much pressure from press and retailers to build out our collection into this more American sportswear look in our top line. To me, it’s more appropriate to build a whole brand and collection around this price point. Chic sportswear should be at this price point,” Zaquisha P tells press. I guess designers are finally starting to take this recession thing serious.

R.I.P. Daul Kim

Sadly, Korean Model Daul was found dead in her apartment in Paris today. The cause of death is currently unkown however rumered to be a suicide. Our deepest concolences for her friends and family. Daul was only 20 years old and known best for walking in Zac Posen, D&G, and Matthew Williamson shows during the past Spring shows. Sayit aint so.

Every year Target gets new designer to design a line of high fashion clothing but at an affordable Target price. We have all witnessed the Target lines of Alexander Mcqueen, Anna Sui, Isaac Mizrahi, Jovovich Hawk, and more and of couse they were all quite impressive.
